Talk Together

Talk Together exists to promote good communication about important topics.

This involves addressing important and stimulating issues, and encouraging and facilitating good communication about those issues.

One early Talk Together initiative explored conflict resolution (sometimes also referred to as 'peace building').  This involved bringing together young people from either (or all) sides of a conflict area, and inviting them to work together to learn and practice non-violent communication and conflict resolution techniques, as well as considering the facts about the conflict situation - from all sides and from all perspectives. See here for further information.  Further iterations of this project are planned, pending availability of appropriate funding.

Global Concerns
Our current focus involves students from participating schools around the world discussing the same issues in a single 24 hour period.  Global Concerns is being developed in partnership with RCN and WKC for a first trial on 21 March 2012, with a later trial with all UWCs.  Schools from all over the world will then be invited to participate from 2013.
